I'm getting close to the end of the book and it just took a major plot twist. Apparently the da set up a system where in the press of a button the whole compound will explode. And while Eli and his dad are fighting he accidently presses the button. Luckily everyone makes it out of the compound alright, except for one the dad, he is no where in sight.
In the book my buddy is reading there is a character that nobody really likes, which is similar to my book. In her book there is an evil character and the dad in my book turns evil and goes crazy, just like her book.
I have recently added a book to my shelf, Fever 1793, is what it is called. All you have to do is go on book likes and search the title and click add to shelf. That way it is always there if you need a book to read
Growing up the author of the book The Compound, S.A. Bodeen wasn't the wealthiest. So when she wrote this book she made her characters very rich. It was like her way of living the life she never lived. This is how she got away from the real world and lived in a fantasy world. The Compound is nothing like her own life and that is why she wrote it.
I think this quote is very significant because it shows how Eli truly feels about his dad. He is not very happy with his dad and it shows how he wishes his dad would act. He just wants a real dad who would do anything for him, not anything for money.
Currently I am reading, The Compound by S.A Bodeen. The is my first book by this author and I am enjoying it so far. It is about this family who lives in an underground compound for 6 years. Having to deal with some daily struggles they have to continue and on and are not allowed to leave the compound at all. They all soon realize if things keep going to way they are going now they may not last much longer. I can't wait to continue reading it, come back later to find out what happens next.
